David M. VanDrunen (born December 21, 1971) is the Robert B. Strimple Professor of Systematic Theology and Christian Ethics at Westminster Seminary California. VanDrunen was the 2004 recipient of the Acton Institute's Novak Award, an award given annually to an outstanding young scholar who demonstrates "theology’s connection to human dignity, the importance of the rule of law, limited government, religious liberty, and economic freedom."() VanDrunen received a Bachelor of Arts from Calvin College, a Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California, a Master of Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School;, a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Loyola University in Chicago. His current work focuses on natural law in Reformed theology and the doctrine of the two kingdoms.
